Sweet Potatoes and Ham                     Return

 

1 pound Ham, sliced
3 medium-size sweet potatoes, sliced
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup hot water

First Brown ham slightly on both sides and place in baking dish. Place sliced sweet potatoes over ham and sprinkle with sugar. Add water to drippings in pan in which ham was browned and then pour over sweet potatoes. Cover and bake at 350 0F. until sweet potatoes are tender, about 1 hour. Baste occasionally while cooking. To brown, uncover the last 15 minutes of baking time. Yield: 4 servings.
