Lee Farms, a third generation family-owned and operated farm, is
situated just a few miles outside Four Oaks, North Carolina, in
southeastern Johnston County, the Largest Sweet Potato producing
county in North America.
In 1993, after seeing so much abusive handling of sweet potatoes
by many packers, shippers and processors, we realized the industry
had a real need to improve sweet potato handling to preserve
quality, storage time and nutrition. Lee Farms made a commitment
to answer that need. We adopted the method of washing and packing
our sweet potatoes in a small vegetable machine, sizing them by
hand and carefully placing them in our custom designed boxes. We
then set out to show buyers our tenderly handled, top quality,
North Carolina Sweet Potatoes.
